In-Home Supportive Services

Known as the The Burton-Moscone-Bagley Citizens’ Income Security Act

The department may enter into interagency agreements with the State Department of Health Services to administer approved federal waivers authorized pursuant to Section 14132.951 or services provided under Section 14132.95, and to deliver waiver services in the same manner as services delivered pursuant to this article, and as authorized by Section 1396a(a)(11)(A) of Title 42 of the United States Code, which provides that California’s state plan for medical assistance under the Medicaid program allows the State Department of Health Services, as the single state Medicaid agency, to “enter into cooperative arrangements with the State agencies responsible for administering or supervising the administration of health services and vocational rehabilitation services in the State looking toward maximum utilization of such services in the provision of medical assistance under the plan.” If an interagency agreement is entered into pursuant to this section, it shall come within the provisions of Section 14000.03.
