The department may limit the scope of health care benefits provided by a prepaid health plan under this chapter to exclude the care of illness or injury which results from or is greatly aggravated by, a catastrophic occurrence, including, but not limited to, an act of war, declared or undeclared, and which occurs subsequent to enrollment in the prepaid health plan.
