Crime and Delinquency Prevention

Known as the Youth Authority Act

To help communities develop effective local programs, the Director of the Youth Authority may, upon request, provide technical assistance to judges, probation officers, law enforcement officials, school administrators, welfare administrators, and other public and private organizations, and citizen groups. The assistance may include studies and surveys to identify problems, development of written instructional or information materials, preparation of policy statements and procedural guides, field consultation with appropriate persons in the community, and other assistance as appears appropriate.
