Known as the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act

The act spans §§ 4500–4885 (423 sections).

Added by Stats. 1977, Ch. 1252.

The Legislature finds that there is a shortage of programs and facilities to provide a comprehensive network of habilitation services to persons with developmental disabilities throughout the state.

In order to assure the development and necessary support for a comprehensive network of programs of good quality, in every area of the state, in an orderly and economic manner, the following procedures are established.
