(1) [Editor’s note: This version of subsection (1) is effective until January 7, 2025.] The eighteenth judicial district shall be composed of the counties of Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert, and Lincoln. (a) The number of judges for the eighteenth judicial district shall be fourteen. (b) Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2002, the number of judges for the eighteenth judicial district shall be fifteen. (c) Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2003, the number of judges for the eighteenth judicial district shall be sixteen. (d) Intentionally left blank —Ed. (I) Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2004, the number of judges for the eighteenth judicial district shall be seventeen. (II) Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2007, the number of judges for the eighteenth judicial district shall be eighteen. (III) Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2008, the number of judges for the eighteenth judicial district shall be twenty. (IV) Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2009, the number of judges for the eighteenth judicial district shall be twenty-one. (V) Subject to available appropriations, effective July 1, 2014, the number of judges for the eighteenth judicial district is twenty-three. (VI) Subject to available appropriations, effective January 1, 2020, the number of judges for the eighteenth judicial district is twenty-four. (VII) [Editor’s note: Subsection (2)(d)(VII) is effective January 7, 2025.] Subject to available appropriations, effective January 1, 2025, the number of judges for the eighteenth judicial district is seventeen. (e) The district judges regularly assigned to Arapahoe county shall maintain their offices in one location within Arapahoe county. (3) Repealed.
