C.R.S. § 18-18-430.5

(1) A person is exempt from sections 18-18-425 to 18-18-430 if the person is: (a) Participating as an employee, volunteer, or participant in an approved syringe exchange program created pursuant to section 25-1-520 ; or (b) A pharmacist or pharmacy technician who sells nonprescription syringes or needles pursuant to section 12-280-123 (4). (c) Using equipment, products, or materials in compliance with section 18-18-434 , article 170 of title 12 , or article 50 of title 44 . The manufacture, possession, and distribution of such equipment, products, or materials is authorized within the meaning of 21 U.S.C. 863 sec. (f).
