C.R.S. § 22-20-107

Authority to contract with institutions of higher education or case management agencies

Known as the Exceptional Children’s Educational Act

The act spans §§ 22–22 (27 sections).

(1) [Editor’s note: This version of subsection (1) is effective until July 1, 2024.] An administrative unit may contract with an institution of higher education, or a community-centered board, as provided in section 25.5-10-206 , C.R.S., for the provision by the administrative unit of an education and training program for children with disabilities. If an agreement is arrived at by the two agencies, the administrative unit shall place the responsibility for administering the program with the director of special education of the administrative unit. (1) [Editor’s note: This version of subsection (1) is effective July 1, 2024.] An administrative unit may contract with an institution of higher education, a case management agency, or an entity, as those terms are defined in section 25.5-6-1702 , as provided in section 25.5-10-206 , for the provision by the administrative unit of an education and training program for children with disabilities. If an agreement is arrived at by the two agencies, the administrative unit shall place the responsibility for administering the program with the director of special education of the administrative unit. (2) Repealed.
