C.R.S. § 24-32-707

Powers of board

(1) The board shall have the following powers: (a) To advise the general assembly, the governor, and the division on housing matters; (b) To establish uniform construction and maintenance standards for hotels, motels, and multiple dwellings in those areas of the state where no such standards exist; and for factory-built housing; (c) To develop and submit to the general assembly and units of local government recommendations for uniform housing standards and building codes; (d) To conduct examinations and investigations and to take testimony and proof under oath at hearings; (e) Through the division of housing, to act as agent for local governmental and private nonprofit entities in connection with federal, state, and local public and private nonprofit housing programs; (f)(Deleted by amendment, L. 99, p. 440, § 4, effective August 4, 1999.)(g) To promulgate rules and regulations establishing income limits for the determination of what constitutes a low- or moderate-income family pursuant to section 24-32-717 (4)(b). (h) and (i) Repealed. (2) The board shall serve in an advisory capacity to the state housing finance authority, created by part 7 of article 4 of title 29 , C.R.S., and shall provide information as to the need for development of housing facilities for low- and moderate-income families in Colorado.
