Any person who represents that any medical service is reimbursable or subject to payment pursuant to this part 1 when the person knows that it is not commits a petty offense. Any person who represents that the person is eligible for assistance pursuant to this part 1 when the person knows that the person is not commits a class 2 misdemeanor and shall be punished as provided in section 18-1.3-503 .
