As used in this part 6, unless the context otherwise requires: (1) “Council” means the state emergency medical and trauma services advisory council created in section 25-3.5-104 . (2) “Department” means the department of public health and environment. (3) “EMTS” means emergency medical and trauma services. (4) “Local emergency medical and trauma service providers” includes, but is not limited to, local governing boards, training centers, hospitals, special districts, and other private and public service providers that have as their purpose the provision of emergency medical and trauma services.
