C.R.S. § 26.5-3-203

Definitions

As used in this part 2, unless the context otherwise requires: (1) “Board” means the Colorado child abuse prevention board created in section 26.5-3-204 . (2) “Child” means a person under eighteen years of age. (3) “Child abuse” has the meaning as provided for the term “abuse” in section 19-1-103 (1). (4) “Prevention program” means a program of direct child abuse prevention services for a child, parent, or guardian and includes research or education programs related to the prevention of child abuse. Such a prevention program may be classified as a primary prevention program when it is available to the community on a voluntary basis and as a secondary prevention program when it is directed toward groups of individuals who have been identified as high risk. (5) “Recipient” means and is limited to a nonprofit or public organization that receives a grant from the trust fund. (6) “Trust fund” means the Colorado child abuse prevention trust fund created in section 26.5-3-206 .
