C.R.S. § 42-4-1501

Traffic laws apply to persons operating motorcycles and autocycles

Known as the Uniform Safety Code

The act spans §§ 42-4-1001 to 42-4-903 (287 sections).

(1) Every person operating a motorcycle or autocycle shall be granted all of the rights and is subject to all of the duties applicable to the driver of any other vehicle under this article 4, except as to special regulations in this article 4 and except as to those provisions of this article 4 that by their nature are not applicable. (2) For the purposes of a prearranged, organized special event and upon a showing that safety will be reasonably maintained, the department of transportation may grant a special permit exempting the operation of a motorcycle or autocycle from any requirement of this part 15.
