[Editor’s note: This section is effective July 1, 2024.] (1) Intentionally left blank —Ed. (a) A retail establishment shall not sell, transfer, or otherwise furnish over-the-counter diet pills to any person under eighteen years of age. (b) A retail establishment shall request valid identification from any person who attempts to purchase over-the-counter diet pills if that person reasonably appears to the retail establishment to be under eighteen years of age. (2) A violation of this article 28 is a deceptive trade practice pursuant to section 6-1-105 (1)(cccc).
