Training requirements for traffic authority

(a) The Connecticut Training and Technical Assistance Center at The University of Connecticut shall conduct training sessions for traffic authorities, at least three times a year, concerning the powers and responsibilities of traffic authorities, the installation of official traffic control devices and an overview of the applicable provisions of the general statutes and any regulations adopted by the Office of the State Traffic Administration.

(b) On or before January 1, 2024, and annually thereafter, each traffic authority, or such authority's appointed representative, shall complete one training offered pursuant to subsection (a) of this section. The Connecticut Training and Technical Assistance Center shall maintain records indicating when a traffic authority, or such authority's representative, completed such training.
