The Connecticut Airport Authority, in consultation with the Department of Transportation and representatives from the unmanned aircraft industry, organizations representing municipalities and organizations representing first responders, may adopt procedures pursuant to the provisions of section 1-121 that (1) specify where unmanned aircraft may take off and land, giving consideration to the public health, safety, aesthetics and general welfare of this state, and (2) govern the operation of unmanned aircraft, unless otherwise prohibited by, or provided for, in federal law.
