Del. Code tit. 3, § 502

The State Chemist shall receive such compensation for the State Chemist’s services and expenses as may be fixed by the Department of Agriculture, to be paid out of funds of the State Treasury, in the same manner as other necessary expenses of the State are now paid, as provided by law.
