Penalty for disturbing monuments

Known as the Florida Public Land Survey Restoration and Perpetuation Act

Any person who willfully modifies, defaces, disturbs, removes, or destroys any monument or reference monument placed, or corner record filed, under the authority of this act without first obtaining written permission from the department is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
