Destruction of records

The Division of Blind Services may authorize the destruction of any correspondence, documents, or other records when the subject matter involved has been closed or terminated and their preservation is not required by federal or state law, rule, or regulation. No such material shall be destroyed unless specific authority is given by the division and unless said records have been in the possession of the division 5 or more years prior to their destruction.
