Death benefits

Known as the Alonzo Mourning Access to Care Act

Any health insurance policy may contain a provision for paying a benefit for death from any cause in an amount not exceeding $1,000, which benefit shall not relieve such policy from the requirements of this chapter. This provision shall not limit benefits for death by accident.
