Sale and measurement of pulpwood, sawtimber, poles, and other types of timber

All pulpwood, sawtimber, poles, and other types of timber sold or measured in this state by weight shall be sold on the basis of tonnage

or pounds, with one ton equaling 2,000 pounds. Nothing in this Code section shall prohibit the sale or measurement of such products by measured volume, so long as such measurement is not calculated by weight.
