O.C.G.A. § 35-4-9

Attendance not required; academy training programs not to supersede other programs

Known as the Georgia Police Academy Act

The act spans §§ 35–35 (9 sections).

It is not the intention of this chapter that it be mandatory that any

police officer be required to attend the academy. The training program established at the academy shall not supersede any other training program for police officers but shall be separate and apart from any

other training program for police officers.
