Compliance alternatives for unenclosed or improperly enclosed exit stairways or vertical shafts include, but are not limited to, the following:
(1) Improve enclosure of exit stairway; (2) Add a partial fire suppression system; (3) Add a sprinkler draft curtain; or
(4) Add a smoke detection system.
