Haw. Rev. Stat. § 658J-14

Recording of hearing

Known as the Uniform Family Law Arbitration Act

The act spans §§ 658J-1 to 658J-9 (27 sections).

(a) Except as provided in subsection (b) an arbitration hearing need not be recorded unless:

(1) Otherwise required by law of this State other than this chapter;

(2) Required by the arbitrator;

(3) Provided by the arbitration agreement; or

(4) Requested by a party.

(b) An arbitrator shall require a verbatim recording be made of any part of an arbitration hearing concerning a child-related dispute.
