Posting bail — Sufficient sureties

Known as the Idaho Bail Act

The act spans §§ 19–19 (24 sections).

(1) The posting of bail consists of filing sufficient sureties with the court, as required by the court, to ensure the defendant’s appearance. Sufficient sureties shall consist of any one (1) of the following: A bail bond;

(2) A property bond; or

(3) A cash deposit.

(4) Although bail may be posted in the form of a cash deposit pursuant to the provisions of subsection (1) of this section, a defendant shall not be required to post bail in the form of a cash deposit.
