Except as respects the legal liability of the named insured, the insurer shall have the right to exclude, cancel or refuse to renew coverage under an automobile insurance policy as to designated individuals. Any such cancellation or refusal to renew shall be acknowledged by the signature of the named insured, and shall be subject to the applicable provisions of sections 41-2506 through 41-2512[, Idaho Code,] of this act as for cancellation or refusal to renew the policy.
