If such person or corporation making said demand shall be dissatisfied as to the total amount paid or the credit given on the original lien as shown by said statements furnished under the provisions of section 42-2967[, Idaho Code], he or it shall have the right to bring an action in the district court of the county in which such land is situate, against said district and the county treasurer of the county, for the purpose of securing a determination by the court as to the total amount of payments made and the amount which should have been credited upon the lien against said lands created by the assessment roll of said district as confirmed by the court.
