Idaho Code § 67-7405

Commission — Appointment — Chairman

The commission shall consist of five (5) members appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate. The term of a member is five (5) years. The terms of members appointed shall expire as designated by the governor at the time of appointment: One (1) at the end of one (1) year; one (1) at the end of two (2) years; one (1) at the end of three (3) years; one (1) at the end of four (4) years; and one (1) at the end of five (5) years. At the end of a term, a member continues to serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies. A member who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for the rest of the term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies. A vacancy of the commission shall be filled in the same manner as regular appointments are made, and the term shall be for the unexpired portion of the regular term. No member of the commission shall have a direct or indirect pecuniary interest in any contract or agreement entered into by the commission. The chairman of the commission shall be appointed by the governor from among the members of the commission. No more than three (3) members of the commission shall belong to the same political party. The members of the commission shall serve at the pleasure of the governor.
