K-12 Recycling Grant Program

(a) Subject to appropriation, the State Board of Education must create and administer the K-12 Recycling Grant Program to provide grants to school districts for the implementation or improvement of a school's recycling program. A school district that applies for a grant under this Section may receive a maximum grant amount of $5,000 per school in that district and may use the grant funds only to implement or improve a school's recycling program. (b) The State Board must adopt rules to implement this Section.
