The Board of Higher Education is authorized to distribute funds for the pursuit of certain operational research projects

Known as the Manpower Planning and Analysis Act

The act spans §§ 110-230-1 to 110-230-3 (3 sections).

(a) A project to develop analytical tools to assist the Board of Higher Education in its planning tasks, and in particular research that will provide: (1) The Board with an approved basis for making recommendations on the allocating of funds for health education. (2) Methods for planning operational programs to achieve the health manpower objectives of the Board. (3) The means for assessing the status of health manpower on a continuing basis. This project would involve the assessment of the relationship of current health education and the educational resources with the output of trained manpower and an analysis of appropriate techniques for estimating future manpower requirements and the design of an information system in support of the above two items. This project is visualized as a 1-year effort, with work in the three mentioned areas being carried out by the Board of Higher Education and appropriate institutions and agencies.
