110 ILCS 805/7-23.1

The board shall let all contracts (other than those excepted by Section 3-27.1 of this Act) for supplies, materials or work involving an expenditure in excess of $25,000 or a lower amount as required by board policy by competitive bidding as provided in Section 3-27.1 of this Act.
