Dental Student Grant Act
- 110 ILCS 925/1— This Act shall be known and may be cited as the "Dental Student Grant Act"
- 110 ILCS 925/2— The purpose of this Act is to establish a program in the Illinois Department of Public Health to encourage minority students to enroll in and complete dental school in the State of Illinois
- 110 ILCS 925/3— The terms specified in Sections 3.01 through 3.07 have the meanings ascribed to them in those Sections unless the context of this Act otherwise requires
- 110 ILCS 925/3.01— "Department" means the Illinois Department of Public Health
- 110 ILCS 925/3.02— "Director" means the Director of Public Health
- 110 ILCS 925/3.05— "Dentist" means a person licensed to practice dentistry under the Illinois Dental Practice Act
- 110 ILCS 925/3.06
- 110 ILCS 925/3.07— "Racial minority" means a person who is any of the following: (1) American Indian or Alaska Native (a person having origins in any of the original peoples of North and South America, including Central America, and who maintains tribal affiliation or community attachment)
- 110 ILCS 925/4— The Department shall have the powers and duties specified in Sections 4.01 through 4.06
- 110 ILCS 925/4.01— To award grants to eligible dental students
- 110 ILCS 925/4.02— To establish a program of dental student grants and to make grants to eligible dental students
- 110 ILCS 925/4.03— To determine criteria and standards of financial need for making grants under Section 4.02
- 110 ILCS 925/4.03a
- 110 ILCS 925/4.03b— (Repealed)
- 110 ILCS 925/4.06— To promulgate rules and regulations which are necessary for the establishment and maintenance of the programs required by this Act
