(a) The Department of Healthcare and Family Services is an authorized entity under this Law for the purpose of exchanging information, in the form and manner required by the Illinois State Police, to facilitate the location of individuals for establishing paternity, and establishing, modifying, and enforcing child support obligations, pursuant to the Illinois Public Aid Code and Title IV, Part D of the Social Security Act. (b) The Department of Healthcare and Family Services is an authorized entity under this Section for the purpose of obtaining access to various data repositories available through LEADS, to facilitate the location of individuals for establishing paternity, and establishing, modifying, and enforcing child support obligations, pursuant to the Illinois Public Aid Code and Title IV, Part D of the Social Security Act. The Illinois State Police shall enter into an agreement with the Department of Healthcare and Family Services consistent with these purposes.
