Known as the Volunteer Firefighting Rescue Unit Use Act

As used in this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, the following terms have the following meanings: Rescue unit means a unit of an unpaid volunteer fire fighting organization which is specially trained for emergency rescue work such as resuscitation of heart attack, drowning, suffocation or epilepsy victims, recovery of bodies of drowning victims and similar activities; Troop means a geographic area designated by the Illinois State Police for administration of laws by the Division of Fire Prevention of the Illinois State Police.
