20 ILCS 2625/2

The Illinois State Police may request the cooperation and use of facilities of any rescue unit to aid it when engaged in any activity designed to save human life or to recover the body of a victim

Known as the Volunteer Firefighting Rescue Unit Use Act

The act spans §§ 20-2625-0-01 to 20-2625-4 (5 sections).

Such a request shall be directed to a rescue unit or units located within the district where the rescue work is to be performed. If there is no rescue unit located within the troop or if there are not sufficient rescue units therein to perform the required work, requests may be directed to rescue units located in other troops.
