Duties of local law enforcement agencies

Known as the Statewide Organized Gang Database Act

The act spans §§ 20-2640-1 to 20-2640-5 (5 sections).

Local law enforcement agencies who are members of the LEADS system may: (a) after carrying out any arrest of any individual whom they believe to be a member or affiliate of an organized gang, create or update that individual's electronic file within the LEADS system; and (b) notify the prosecutor of the accused of the accused individual's gang membership or gang affiliate status.
