The Sanganois-Knapp Island Conservation Area

The Department of Natural Resources is authorized to enter into and carry out agreements with any agency of the United States Government to insure the performance of the items of non-federal participation involved in the operation and maintenance of improvements on the Sanganois-Knapp Island Conservation Area adjacent to the Sangamon River for the purpose of making certain portions of it suitable for public outdoor recreation utilization including the management of wildlife as set forth in Section 221 of the Flood Control Act of 1970 (PL 91-611).
