Administration of Act

Known as the Dental Care Patient Protection Act

The Director may adopt rules necessary to implement the Department's responsibility under this Act. To enforce the provisions of this Act, the director may issue a cease and desist order or require a managed care dental plan to submit a plan of correction for violations of this Act, or both. Subject to the provisions of the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act, the Director may impose an administrative fine, not to exceed $1,000, for failure to submit a requested plan of correction, failure to comply with its plan of correction, or repeated violations of the Act. All final decisions regarding the imposition of a fine shall be subject to review under the Illinois Administrative Review Law.
