Administration of Act

Known as the Veterinary Medicine and Surgery Practice Act

(a) The Department shall exercise the powers and duties prescribed by the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois for the administration of licensing Acts and shall exercise any other powers and duties necessary for effectuating the purpose of this Act. (b) The Secretary may adopt rules consistent with the provisions of this Act for the administration and enforcement thereof, and for the payment of fees connected therewith, and may prescribe forms that shall be issued in connection therewith. The rules may include standards and criteria for licensure, certification, and professional conduct and discipline. The Department may consult with the Board in promulgating rules. (c) The Department may solicit the advice and expert knowledge of the Board on any matter relating to the administration and enforcement of this Act.
