Examination

Known as the Genetic Counselor Licensing Act

(a) Applicants for genetic counseling licensure must provide evidence that they have successfully completed the certification examination provided by the ABGC or ABMGG, if they are master's degree trained genetic counselors, or the ABMGG, if they are PhD trained medical geneticists; or successfully completed the examination provided by the successor agencies of the ABGC or ABMGG. The examinations shall be of a character to fairly test the competence and qualifications of the applicants to practice genetic counseling. (b) (Blank).
