Home rule

Known as the Illinois Professional Land Surveyor Act

The act spans §§ 225-330-1 to 225-330-9 (56 sections).

Pursuant to subsection (h) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution, a home rule unit may not regulate the profession of land surveying in a manner more restrictive than the regulation by the State of the profession of land surveying as provided in this Act. This Section is a limitation on the concurrent exercise by home rule units of powers and functions exercised by the State.
