This Section is a limitation on the concurrent exercise by home rule units of powers and functions exercised by the State.
225 ILCS 340/37
Pursuant to subsection (i) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution, a home rule unit may not regulate the profession of structural engineering in a manner more restrictive than the regulation by the State of the profession of structural engineering as provided in this Act
Known as the Structural Engineering Practice Act
The act spans §§ 225-340-1 to 225-340-9-5 (48 sections).
