Inactive status

Known as the Interpreter for the Deaf Licensure Act

Any interpreter for the deaf who notifies the Commission, on forms prescribed by the Commission, may place his or her license on inactive status and shall be exempt from payment of renewal fees until he or she notifies the Commission, in writing, of the intention to restore his or her license, pays the current renewal fee, and demonstrates compliance with any requisite continuing education. Any interpreter for the deaf requesting restoration from inactive status must pay the current renewal fee and restore his or her license as provided in Section 80 of this Act.
