225 ILCS 640/10a

Nothing in this Act shall be construed as preventing the movement of livestock into stockyards registered under the Packers and Stockyards Act, a State-Federal approved slaughtering establishment or a marketing center

Known as the Livestock Auction Market Law

The act spans §§ 225-640-1 to 225-640-9 (25 sections).

The United States Department of Agriculture or the Illinois Department of Agriculture has the authority, however, to prohibit the entry, movement, or sale of diseased animals.
