Limitation on provision of care and services

Known as the Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics Practice Act

A licensed orthotist, prosthetist, or pedorthist may provide care or services only if the care or services are provided pursuant to an order from (i) a licensed physician, (ii) a licensed podiatric physician, (iii) a licensed advanced practice registered nurse, or (iv) a licensed physician assistant. A licensed podiatric physician or advanced practice registered nurse collaborating with a podiatric physician may only order care or services concerning the foot from a licensed prosthetist.
