Residency requirement

Known as the Video Gaming Act

The act spans §§ 230-40-1 to 230-40-90 (27 sections).

Each licensed distributor, terminal operator, and person with a substantial interest in a licensed distributor or terminal operator must be an Illinois resident. However, if an out-of-state distributor or terminal operator has performed its respective business within Illinois for at least 48 months prior to the effective date of this Act, the out-of-state person may be eligible for licensing under this Act, upon application to and approval of the Board. The Board shall adopt rules to implement this Section.
