230 ILCS 5/2

There is hereby created and established an Illinois Racing Board which shall have the powers and duties specified in this Act, and also the powers necessary and proper to enable it to fully and effectively execute all the provisions and purposes of this Act

Known as the Illinois Horse Racing Act

The act spans §§ 230-5-1 to 230-5-9 (132 sections).

The jurisdiction, supervision, powers, and duties of the Board shall extend under this Act to every person who holds or conducts any meeting within the State of Illinois where horse racing is permitted for any stake, purse or reward.
