Pediatric palliative care program

Known as the Pediatric Palliative Care Act

The act spans §§ 305–305 (15 sections).

The Department shall develop a pediatric palliative care program, and the medical assistance program established under Article V of the Illinois Public Aid Code shall cover community-based pediatric palliative care from a trained interdisciplinary team, as an added benefit under which a qualifying child, as defined in Section 25, may also choose to continue curative or disease-directed treatments for a serious illness under the benefits available under Article V of the Illinois Public Aid Code.
