40 ILCS 5/5-184

To see that all amounts specified in this Article to be applied to the fund, from any source, are collected and so applied; to see that the sums to be deducted from the salaries of policemen are deducted and paid into the fund, and that the sums to be contributed by the city are so contributed and received into the fund, and that all interest upon moneys due the fund and all other moneys which accrue to the fund are collected and paid into it.
