For the purposes of this Act: "Truss" means a framed structural unit made up of a group of triangles arranged in a single plane in such a manner that if loads are applied at the points of intersection of the truss members, only compressive or tensile (nonbending) forces will result in the members. "Truss construction" means a structure, excluding a residential structure, in which the roof or floor is supported by trusses.
