The Illinois State Police shall maintain a statewide next generation 9-1-1 network. The next generation 9-1-1 network must be an Internet protocol-based platform that at a minimum provides: (1) improved 9-1-1 call delivery; (2) enhanced interoperability; (3) increased ease of communication between 9-1-1 service providers, allowing immediate transfer of 9-1-1 calls, caller information, photos, and other data statewide; (4) a hosted solution with redundancy built in; and (5) compliance with the most current NENA Standards.
